We have been nominated again as one of the charities who will benefit from the walk.
Please put this date in your diary and tell all your friends and relations as we need lots of people to take part. We will be organising a picnic for Horse Rescue Fund supporters and walkers afterwards.
Watch the website for details.

VOTE FOR MORRIS
Horse and Pony magazine are running a competition to find the Charity Pony of the Year - needless to say we have entered Morris.
We need your votes for Morris as the decision will be made by Horse and Pony readers. Watch out for the competition and send in you vote.
Just to let you know that the Charity Pony of the Year Poll is now live on horseandpony.com, just click on the pink 'more polls this way icon,' under Readers Votes.
We are now starting to collect money to pay for Morris to have his second eye operation.
Total so far is £762.00 on the 22nd December 2008
UPDATE ON MORRIS - 9TH DECEMBER, 2008
MORRIS WENT BACK FOR HIS CHECK UP AND TO HAVE THE TUBE REMOVED FROM HIS EYE ON THE 8TH DECEMBER. HE WAS VERY GOOD AND GOT BACK TO OUR YARD AT 6.30 LAST NIGHT.
HE WAS TURNED OUT TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME AND WAS SEEN TROTTING AND CANTERING ROUND THE FIELD, EVEN HAVING A LITTLE BUCK. HE HAS BEEN CALLING ALL DAY AND GOING TO SEE THE OTHER HORSES IN THE FIELDS NEAR HIM. PICTURES OF HIM IN THE FIELD WILL FOLLOW SOON.
We just have to thank the huge efforts of Emma, Kim and Anna, sisters from Stalham plus their friends and also all family and friends from Happisburgh along with our members Elsa Prentice and Malcolm Kirby.
Elsa has so far organised a coffee morning with a Bring and Buy sale, raffle and tombola in the local church hall - all run by the children with a bit of help from Mums and Dads with the coffee etc. The children all found things to sell at home and set up all of their own stalls.A walk from Stalham to Happisburgh was held on Sunday with horses and ponies taking part as well as walkers, which ended with a barbeque at Malcolm and Elsa''s house. Meredith who is riding the palomino pony in the photograph raised over £100 on her own. Both events have raised nearly £500 towards the Morris Appeal.
Emma has organised a day at her school where no one wears uniform and all the money raised from this event will go to the Morris Appeal. There are lots of other ideas in the pipeline.
So come on everyone out there - follow this great example and think of ideas and things you can do to help Morris.
The Horse Rescue Fund really appreciates and the time and effort that goes into raising money for us and if you would like us to attend an event you are organising please call Woodstock Farm.
A big thank you again to the crew from Stalham and Happisburgh and just to mention everyone by name.
The village hall fundraiser to start with - Emma, Anna, Kim, Imogen family and friends , Bryony and James, Nicole and Tilly, Rachel, Amy, James and Victoria, Molly and Kitty ,MJ.
Like all animal charities we are currently experiencing a daily increase in the number of phone calls from people asking us to take in horses and ponies for a variety of reasons and for us to do this we need to generate more income to keep up with our increasing costs. One of the ways we do this is through our membership fees and the generous donations our members provide, for example, raising extra funding for the operations on Morris. Members often donate unwanted goods, raffle prizes, help on the trade stand and at our annual horse show. Why not think of joining the "Friends of Horse Rescue" - a new group that has been started of people wishing to volunteer their services to the Fund at shows and events.
Many thanks

This will be followed by a parade of all of our horses and finally there will be a barbeque. The afternoon is free but if you would like to take part in the barbeque we are asking for a minimum £2 cover charge per person. If you would like to attend the barbeque please telephone 01502 679191, this will enable us to cater for the correct amount of people.
We look forward to seeing you.
The Opening Day was a great sucess and we had a very good turn out. Our thanks to everyone who attended. Joan Crouch, a long time Trustee of the fund, was made a Honorary President and Honarary Life Member at the event. We hope to hold a similar event next year.
We would like to add a page to our website where we can feature each month either a horse, pony or donkey who is out in a loan home.
Therefore we are asking all people who have our loan animals to kindly send us, (preferably by e- mail and in jpg format), photographs and a small write up about your horse, pony or donkey. Tell us about any events you have been to or just stories about them and things they have done. We are sure other people will be very interested to know about all the animals we have out on loan and in some cases how long they have been on loan for.
We look forward to hearing from all our friends out there.

Very sadly we had to have Roddy put to sleep on the 12th March. He had always suffered from very bad feet since we rescued him, his laminitis had reached a stage where we were unable to do any more for him. Although on pain killers he was still not comfortable so following x-rays and consultation with our vets the decision was made.
Roddy will no longer be in pain and we thank him for all the happiness he brought during his twenty-seven years.
